Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the characteristics of open pedagogy
  • Describe how open pedagogy relates to course learning goals and/or student learning outcomes
  • Situate open pedagogy in the context of other asset pedagogies, including culturally sustaining pedagogy, trauma-informed pedagogy, and universal design for learning (UDL)
  • Use backward design to create an open pedagogy assignment, integrating other asset-based pedagogies where possible
